Wait, you can actually hear it for yourself, because I have procured top-secret access to the entire show. Here are three tracks from that night in Detroit in the balm of a Michigan summer - listen and learn as the "Forever Came Today"-era Flesh Eaters show a generation of punks how it's done.

thanks for sharing these 3 Live Flesheaters tunes. They sound great!
It's uncanny - whenever Chris screams, I can't NOT imagine I'm hearing the sound of a chicken getting throttled.
The idea of such a thin sounding band blowing away The Effigies is a pretty funny one...
Amazing stuff.
Sounds like he'd surely rip your head off and eat it if you got it his way.
Thanks so much for this
It's funny to see others regard Negative Approach, Necros, etc. as "legends". We used to laugh when they'd come onstage at CC's with Burger King paper crowns and crap, junk-picked wrecked drumsets, etc., and playing pseudo-West Coast style hardcore. You kids just invent too many idols because you don't have any heroes in your lives, grow up. Although the Necros singer seemed a pretty nice guy.
The Effigies, hah. There were some really anemic 'hardcore' bands in those days, only replaced by the mach-crap bands.
